MAINTAINING THE POWER OF BELIEF
Updated: May 5, 2020
In these times of definite challenge and adversity, times where some people are questioning whether you’ll have jobs when this is over, whether you’ll have to start over when this is over, how you’re going to continue to feed your families, or how you’re going to keep the bills paid, think about it. On some level, you’ve been here before. You beat that then, and you’ll beat this now. You desired success before, but now it’s about much more and you shall have it! Steve Jobs cofound Apple, was fired from his own company, and managed to not only come back and become CEO of that company, but he found and had a hand in finding other very successful ventures and later became a multi-billionaire!
We will all have jobs even if we have to work for ourselves. We will all eat and eat well even if we have to change our diets. We are adapters! Survivors! American award-winning, journalist, and bestselling author, Germany Kent said, “Your strength doesn't come from winning. It comes from struggles and hardship. Everything that you go through prepares you for the next level.” Know that we are all being prepared for some superior top shelf level of success, winning, victory and wealth. Let’s receive it all, regardless of what package it came wrapped in. These are not ordinary times, so we have to take extraordinary measures to hold on to our dreams, hold on to our families, hold on to whatever we’ve built and even if still lose it all, we have to have faith in the fact that we’ve made it through everything else and we’ll make it through this as well. We’ll make it through these times as we have made it through each and every time before. The enemy has hit us with his best shot, but we are still standing! We stand up for our families, those we have lost and those we still fight for. We stand up for our goals and dreams! We stand up for our rights, freeoms, and the right to have goals and dreams! We stand up for our way of life, whatever that may be, and the right NOT to have our rights, dreams and freedoms manipulated while we go through this Pandemic and these Quarantines.
We are survivors and will, once again become the winners that God has sent the Universe to ensure that we all become. I believe and we all have to believe that we have already won the trophies and rewards we wanted before the Quarantines. Before the shutdowns and closings of everything around us. We were winners before, and we will be winners again! Emmitt Smith said, “Winning isn’t something that happens suddenly on the field when the whistle blows and the crowds roar. Winning is something that builds physically and mentally every day that you train and every night that you dream.” Well every day and every night of these Quarantines is training. Preparation. Preparation and training for rebuilding. Rebuilding everything we are, everything we had and replacing some things that we didn’t know needed to be replaced. Jim Carrey used to be homeless. He and his family lived out of a van for a while, and his dad drive him to comedy clubs in Toronto. He didn’t let that interfere with his climb to superstardom and starring several mega-blockbusters and becoming known as one of the best comedic actors of an era.
Nelson Mandela spent 27 years in prison before becoming the first President of South Africa to be elected in a fully representative democratic election. During his time in jail, he kept a scrap of paper in his cell that contained the words of a poem by William Ernest Henley, entitled “Invictus,” which ends with the famous lines, “I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul.” Let this storm empower us all to be more, do more, and have more than we did before. This is a battle! A mental, spiritual, psychological, intellectual and economical battle! A battle on all fronts! A battle that requires prayer, focus and meditation! A battle that has provided the breeding ground where we once again get prove to ourselves and the enemy that not only can we make it through, but we can and will rise from the hospital beds, vaccination needles and unemployment lines to reclaim our lives and families to live as champions with nothing missing and nothing broken.
I speak success, power and victory for everyone and over everyone whose lives have been touched and pushed around by anyone or anything in this storm or any storm before this and any storm that may come hereafter. Muhammad Ali said that he hated every minute of training, but said, ‘Don’t quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion.'” Most of us are suffering in some way or another, but we can’t quit! That’s not what we do and NOT who we are! Let’s use these training days to recreate ourselves. Renew ourselves. Recommit to who we are and what we want! Focus!
Let’s choose to be happy! Choose be champions! Choose to win this one, no matter how it looks! So a man thinketh in his heart, so is he! Nelson Mandela, Steve Jobs, Jim Carrey. Each of their stories were of struggle and challenge that led them to, trained them, and prepared them for greatness. There are countless others, known and unknown, who chose to use those challenging times to empower them to make it through and embrace the potential and possibilities that each chose as his path to greatness.
Change your perception of things and you will change your reality. “You were born with potential. You were born with goodness and trust. You were born with ideals and dreams. You were born with greatness. You were born with wings. You are not meant for crawling, so don't. You have wings. Learn to use them and fly.” ― Rumi
